9th International Postgraduate Seminar on Refractories - Program available!
The program of the 9th International Postgraduate Seminar on Refractories which will take place online from October 16th to 17th, 2025 is now available - Attendance to this event is free!
There will be 25 interesting presentations coming from 12 Institutes/Universities!
The seminar will award Best Oral Presentation Prizes sponsored by FIRE including one First Prize, two Second Prizes, and three Third Prizes.
To attend the seminar, you only need to download VOOV softare, create an account, loggin and access to the meeting room number: 748 1880 0457.
The selected abstract can have the opportunity to be be published in Refractories WORLDFORUM.

Highlight of FIRE Alumni - Murilo Henrique Moreira - UFSCar - Brasil
Academic life is a continuous cycle of learning, discovering and transmitting knowledge. I entered this dance in 2014 when I came across refractories in the first semester of my Bachelor's in Materials Engineering, by joining the research group led by Professor Victor Carlos Pandolfelli at the Federal University of São Carlos. That decision shaped my professional career. High temperature materials were my entrance to discovering three passions: the scientific method, computational simulations, and advanced experimental tests.
